Hörtest – Ihr erster Schritt zu besserem Hören

Taking a hearing test – What actually happens?

A hearing test is the most important step in checking your hearing and detecting possible hearing impairments early on. Many people only notice late that their hearing is deteriorating, as hearing loss often develops gradually. A regular hearing test with a hearing care professional helps to identify changes early and find the appropriate hearing solutions in good time.

What is the procedure for a hearing test?

A hearing test with us is quick, straightforward and completely painless. Our hearing care professionals take the time for a precise analysis of your hearing. The procedure consists of three steps:

  1. Individual hearing consultation
We start with a personal discussion about your hearing situation. Do you have difficulty understanding conversations in noisy environments? Do you find it difficult to perceive high or low tones? Targeted questions enable us to better assess your hearing behavior and adapt the test individually to your needs.

  2. Hearing test & evaluation

    • Tone hearing test: We check which frequencies and volumes you can still hear well. We test from when you perceive quiet tones and from when loud noises become unpleasant.
    • Speech test: Here, we measure how well you understand speech at different noise levels. This allows us to determine whether hearing aid fitting makes sense.
    • Middle ear examination: If necessary, we also check the function of the middle ear to identify any impairments such as conductive hearing loss.
  3. Evaluation & individual solutions
After the hearing analysis, we will discuss the results together. If hearing loss is apparent, we will advise you on suitable hearing systems and hearing aid technologies that can improve your hearing.

Why a hearing test is so important

Many people unconsciously get used to a slowly progressing hearing loss. This can not only make communication more difficult, but also negatively affect the quality of life and brain activity. Studies show that untreated hearing loss can increase the risk of cognitive impairment.

A regular hearing test is therefore crucial to:

  • Detect hearing loss early and counteract it.
  • To enjoy conversations and everyday situations in a relaxed manner again.
  • Find the best solution for your individual hearing needs.
